Join Dr. David Barnhart, Jessica Cleveland, Lee Ann Penman, and David R. Stephens as they discuss how to manage stress and anxiety. Research on effective therapy for anxiety disorders clearly demonstrates the power of exposure as a method for reducing anxiety. It seems counter-intuitive that facing fears, exactly what we try to avoid, actually helps us recover. Writing our anxiety triggers; even writing narratives about what we fear provides a controlled way of getting the exposure we need to help us face our fears directly.

Nothing can replace the face to face counseling experience. However, certain situations can arise that make it difficult to schedule an appointment. For example, being away at college, recovering from an illness or recent operation, or called out of town on business.  Now Trinity makes it easier to continue your continuity of care with video or chat sessions via Skype. Call 256-883-3231 to find out if Distance Counseling is appropriate for you.
