Dr. Tenbrunsel, a licensed psychologist in the state of Alabama, has practiced psychology for 14 years. He founded a well-known behavioral health practice in Huntsville and now joins Trinity Counseling Center to continue his career as part of the Trinity team. He completed his undergraduate training in psychology at Bellarmine University and received his Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from St. Louis University.

"Dr T" specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children and adults. He offers intelligence and achievement testing, evaluation of learning disorders and ADD/ADHD, parenting skills assessment, depression, anxiety, mood disorders and other psychological and projective techniques as needed.

His clinical practice includes, but is not limited to, behavioral and cognitive therapy for panic attacks, depression, ADD/ADHD, learning disorders, career counseling, stress and pain management, treatment of anxiety and phobias, child behavioral problems, troubled teens, parenting techniques, achievement motivation, social skills training, and relaxation training techniques.  He has specialized in corporate counseling for over 15 years.

Dr. Tenbrunsel developed programs in the VA and state hospitals in California, Ohio and Missouri. He taught as a tenured professor at Michigan State University. Most recently, he served Vice President for Advancement at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Director of the prestigious UAH foundation. Dr. Tenbrunsel is well published and lectures to civic, parent, school, business and community groups throughout North Alabama.

Dr. Tenbrunsel and his wife have been residents of Huntsville for 20 years and are the parents of three wonderful children, and now seven grandchildren. He enjoys cycling and recently completed a tour across Michigan.
